At the start of every call, Belrust says it is an AI assistant. Anyone who prefers to speak to a person can always ask for that.
Privacy law (GDPR)
We only process data on your behalf, under a data processing agreement. We choose AI services that do not keep the call or train on it, and within the EU where possible. Which services they are and where your data is stored is set out in your agreement.
Health data
Summaries and recordings are stored encrypted and only your practice has access to them. You choose how long they are kept. Your calendar and briefing contain no medical details.
Call recording
At the start, Belrust says the call is recorded and written out. Prefer no recordings? Then Belrust only keeps the summary.
Medical devices
Belrust never assesses symptoms. That keeps it a front-desk tool, not a medical device that needs separate approval. Emergency? Straight to 112 or the on-call service.
AI literacy
Your team knows how the AI works and where its limits are. We explain it, with a short training. Outbound calls only go to your own patients and clients, respecting the Belgian Do Not Call list.

No. In your private calendar, Belrust only sees whether you are free or busy. It does not see what the appointments are.
Yes. Belrust always says so at the start of the call. That is honest, and since 2 August 2026 it is a legal requirement. Anyone who prefers a person can leave a call-back request or be put through.
Yes. Belrust does the work of a front desk: booking appointments and taking down questions. It does not assess symptoms and never gives medical advice. At the start you get the data processing agreement, the text for your privacy notice and a pre-filled risk assessment (DPIA).
Only you and your team. The AI hears the call so it can answer. We choose AI services that do not keep the call or train on it; which ones is set out in your data processing agreement. What Belrust stores is encrypted and only your practice has access to it. Your calendar and your WhatsApp or email briefing contain no medical details.
